Bands! Win A Spot On The AP Fest By Spreading The Word About The AP Survey

Hey Guys, we need all Afro-punk bands to help spread the word about an important research project we are conducting to challenge how our community is perceived in mainstream media. With your help and time, we will have a tool to better understand the diversity of our community and show that people of color and particularly young people of color aren’t monolithic.
- You just need to blast the following message asap (by January 16th) to your mailing list and copy afropunkcommunity@gmail.com to the email to be entered to win a spot on the AP Festival!
- Share the survey link provided below on your various social network pages (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and tag Afro-punk ("Afro-punk" on Facebook, @afropunk on Twitter).

Here's the message:

"Please let your voice be heard, we want to help our friends at Afro-punk spread the word about an important research project they are conducting to challenge how our community is perceived in mainstream media. With your help and 15 minutes of your time, the information that you give will be used as a tool to better understand the diversity of our community and show that people of color and particularly young people of color aren’t monolithic and don’t fit into the boxes that are set for us! Afro-punk wants the world to know that we are socially conscious, care about the environment and have varied tastes.

The more replies Afro-punk has, the louder our voice will be heard so please ask all of your friends to take action, take the survey and have their voices be heard. Please know that your information will be kept strictly anonymous and your individual responses are not going to a brand and will not be sold for sponsorship. There are about 50 questions, some of them are quite thought-provoking, and it may take a bit of time to get through it. Please keep in mind that they can only use your answers if you complete the whole survey.
