‘boondocks’ creator aaron mcgruder is developing a new series

Our beloved ‘Boondocks’ creator Aaron McGruder is in the lab creating a new series with Will Packer of ‘Straight Outta’ Compton for Amazon. Although the storyline is being held close to the chest, rumor has it that it’s an alternate universe theme in the ballpark of “The Man in the High Castle,” which creates an imaginary world where the outcome of World War II turned out differently. In this dystopian world, the Axis powers won the war, leading to the United States being divided into three parts, an area controlled by the Japanese, a Nazi-controlled section, and a buffer zone between the two. McGruder will be an executive producer along with Norman Aladjem and Packer, and while it’s unclear of whether this will be live action or animated, it’s sure to be a helluva project!
