Brooklyn Stand UP! Taking On Poverty In Brooklyn

Brooklyn is thriving and is home to more of the growing upper middle class as well as affluent New Yorkers, while government funding to support poor and low-income people in Brooklyn continues to shrink.

BROOKLYN STAND UP! is a panel event that will bring together policy experts, media commentators and activists for a discussion on what the greater Brooklyn community can do to raise greater awareness and support for the 600,000 and growing number of people living in poverty.

It has never been a more important time to engage and educate the public on how connecting people across economic circumstances can play a critical role in Brooklyn?s continued growth and prosperity.
