Comedian Chescaleigh Goes In On Racist Halloween Costume Fails

Comedian Chescaleigh goes in on racist Halloween costume #FAILS! Do you know people who feel entitled to dress up as caricatural Mexicans, Native Americans + Black Face and the likes?
How do you feel about this?

loooove this video. I actually didn't know the guy from Teen Wolf was dressing up as Kanye or Ghandi. wow. Either he wants his skin to be darker or he is just a closeted bigot.

There's also a difference between dressing up as a fictional character and a stereotype that is suppose to represent a whole group of people.

We constantly see stereotypes in the movies so this kind of thing shouldn't be surprising. When I read your blog, the movie Happy Feet came to mind. Most people I know say, "Oh what a wonderful and funny movie" but the Hispanic penguins  were insulting as hell to me.

If a person has no personal knowledge of a thing they will judge it based on all the unthinking things they've seen or heard through the media. How could they not? It's the only thing they have to go by  unless they acquire personal experience which shows them the truth of the matter.

The cat in the Mexican outfit? How much you want to bet he played like he was drunk and went around, playing "Mexican" all night?.

  Not funny.

Politically incorrect, maybe. Racist? No. How many black girls (and women) dress up as Wonder Woman or (of all things) Snow White for Halloween? How many black boys wear white masks, pretending to be their favorite superhero or cartoon character?

During the past two decades, Halloween has been almost as much about pushing the envelope in creating shocking and unique costumes, as going door to door begging for candy.

Hi Chescaleigh,

Thank you so your great videos. I absolutely love them! This past Halloween, I dressed up as Angela Davis. Sadly, most of the most at my job didn't know who she was, only a handful did. I loved channeling Angela's strength and heroine. I love every minute of it!
