What influences/ inspires your personal style the most?
On any given day I could be rockin’ any number of styles. Whether it’s urban bohemian, romantic chic, classic, or alternative/ punk; it all starts with a mood.
This mood can come from any number of things; a song, the weather, or a conversation with a friend.
The only constant is me.

Have you ever made your own clothes?
I have been designing and sewing for nearly 15 years. I started my own fashion line, Thembe Fashions, were I design and sew high casual everyday couture for women.

Do you think people feel different when they wear clothes?
As they say, “The clothes make the man.” This is also the case for women. A sexy heel, the right pair of jeans, a form fitted dress; these have all raised the spirits and attitudes of many women. The woman wearing the yoga pant and hoodie walks and acts differently than the woman in the DVF wrap dress, Jimmy Choo heels, and Fendi purse.
The right ensemble can turn any frown upside down.

Does fashion influence your style?
Fashion adds to my style. Thumbing through a magazine is more like scouting for new ideas. Trying to find something to add to my personal style without looking like someone I’m not.
