Saul Williams:

Saul Williams’ song “List Of Demands (Reparations)”, which aside from being covered by Nine Inch Nails, The Hives, Robyn, and many others, was selected by Nike for their international “My Better” campaign, whilst his third album, The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust (2007), was a collaboration with Nine Inch Nails front-man, Trent Reznor, and was one of the first popular albums to use the digital “pay what you will” approach, garnering over 500,000 downloads. Volcanic Sunlight (2011), is a collaboration with French super-producer Renaud Letang and the song, “Explain My Heart”, was selected by Adidas for their global Smart Soccer campaign. Saul has toured, performed, and collaborated with dozens of artists, including: Kanye West, Janelle Monae, Nine Inch Nails, Nas, Rage Against The Machine, Gil Scott-Heron, Mos Def, The Roots, Erykah Badu, and many more. MARTYR LOSER KING is Saul Williams’ latest project.

Sanford Biggers:

As an observer, commenter, teacher and absurdist critic, Biggers finds the common threads in usage and re-casts them in the arena of the public consciousness. His work takes imagery from Vodoun, Buddhism, and classic staples of early 20th century Americana, and uses their often unconscious association with romanticized pasts or the notion of the primitive other in juxtaposition to modern African-American culture’s changing definition of self and its evolving presence in the American political arena.

Greg Tate:

Writer, musician, producer. He is a founding member of the Black Rock Coalition with Vernon Reid and James “Blood” Ulmer, and leader of the band Burnt Sugar. The focus of Tate’s writing has been African-American music and culture. He became a staff writer for The Village Voice in 1987, a position he held until 2005. His work has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Artforum, Down Beat, Essence, JazzTimes, Rolling Stone, and VIBE. Tate has been a visiting professor of Africana studies at Brown University and the Louis Armstrong Visiting Professor at Columbia University’s Center for Jazz Studies. In 2010, he was awarded a United States Artists fellowship.
