fashion: ‘negus’ – art of style pay tribute to black royalty with latest editorial

September 16, 2015

Check out the latest editorial from New York fashion duo Art Of Style – freelance fashion stylist and creative director Nkem Onuorah and up and coming designer Cadisha Kennedy. In regards to their new photo story, entitled ‘Negus’, Onuorah tells us: “The idea of the project was rich Nubian kings and queens and their maidens. We gave it the name Negus meaning Royalty, because it reflected very well with our ideas and what we were going for. This project was to shed light on the fact that even though society may deny it, we (people of color) are still kings and queens in our own way.” Explore below.
