We’ve written about 17-year-old rockstar activist Taylor Amari Little a Detroit high school student who is working hard to push for social justice at her high school and around the Detroit area. One of her projects, The Temple Project, severs homeless locals by providing them with free access to personal care items. Her newest endeavor, Queer Ummah, is a visibility project geared towards queer Muslims. The outlet allows these individuals to to share their experiences and stories to advance the conversations about multi-minority identities.

Message from Taylor: ”Are you an LGBTQ+ Muslim? Do you wish for your story/advice to non-LGBTQ+ Muslims and/or closeted Muslims/thoughts/poetry to be published on Queer Ummah? You can either email queerummah@gmail.com or message us on Tumblr, Instagram or Facebook. Hope you’re ready to be interviewed, we’d love to share your personal story! Don’t forget, all submissions are anonymous in order to protect the safety of everyone. Message if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!”
