feature: “a visual journey through history” – the blvck vrchives photographic collection

September 9, 2015

Take a step back in time with the BLVCK VRCHIVES. The photographic archive, an extension of Sunday Kinfolk, is run by Chicago-based curator Renata Cherlise; and each photograph in her collection instantly catches the eye – a powerful and emotive documentation of the black experience, from black life in 1970s London to the experience of African Americans in 1940’s Chicago and Los Angeles in the early 90s. See some of those featured images below and CLICK HERE to take (as the curator states) a “Visual Journey Through History”.
