New York’s Apollo Theater is set to honor the legendary Bob Marley with a tribute concert, commemorating Marley’s 1979 debut at the iconic Harlem venue. Taking place on November 29th, the night will see performances from Reggae’s finest The Wailers, Third World, Maxi Priest and Ky-Mani Marley. Marley’s 1979 appearances at the Apollo were part of his ‘The Survival Tour’ – a concert tour organised to support the ‘Survival’ album by Marley and The Wailers.
