Their latest project, "The Invention of E.J. Whitaker" is a steampunk comic adventure that follows the brilliant and charming inventor Ada Turner during America’s Industrial Age. As a means of ensuring that her work will be taken seriously, Ada invents a pseudonym of "E.J. Whitaker”. But as one of her wondrous inventions (a flying machine) generates more and more attention, and a young businessman and his colleague begin to pursue the mysterious E.J., she wonders how long her true identity can remain concealed. The Gibbs Sister and their creative team—Mark Hernandez (penciler/inker), Hasani McIntosh (colorist), Earl Womack (cover artist), Starline Hodge (emblem designer)—are raising funds to produce “E.J. Whitaker“ in 24-pages of full-color through a Kickstarter running until Mar. 26. You can watch their campaign video below and check out their entire project right here!
