Check out the work of South African visual artist Loyiso Mkize. Mkize’s paintings (oil on canvas) often explore the nature of the modern African – documenting the changing cultures and environments of the second largest continent, and the emotional landscape of its people. The artist has gained much recognition since his debut solo exhibition in 2011 (‘Reflections of Inner Truth’), commissioned to paint both Nelson Mandela and Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu.
