feature: exploring black beauty around the world through new series ‘pretty’

Check out this new video series from Un’ruly (the digital beauty platform dedicated to Black hair). Titled ‘Pretty’, the series aims to explore beauty everywhere through the perspectives of Black women; discussing the representation of Black women (or lack of) in the media, the idea of beauty as a source of both pleasure and pain, and exploring “just how nuanced beauty can be by not only examining how beauty standards vary from country to country, but also how they might vary within a city.” To begin the series, the Un’ruly team travelled to Paris to examine beauty in France. Watch, below!
