feature: grace jones documentary gets the green light from bbc films

A new documentary on the life of iconic Jamaican musician and supermodel Grace Jones has received the green light from the film unit of the BBC (British Broadcasting Company). The documentary (reportedly in the works for seven years) was announced among a number of projects that will be commissioned in celebration of the film division’s 25th anniversary. Titled ‘Grace jones: The Musical Of My Life’ and directed by Sophie Fiennes, the documentary will be “a cinematic journey into the private and public worlds of Grace Jones, mixing intimate personal footage with unique staged musical sequences.”
