feature: interactive pan-african mythology graphic novel “black sands” boasts historically-based exploration and discovery

March 22, 2016

“Black Sands” is an interactive visual novel based on pan-African, Middle Eastern, and Indian mythologies. “Black Sands”, created by Black Sands Entertainment founder Manuel Godoy, is more choose your own adventure than graphic novel and offers a challenging exploration, discovery, and investigation into well-crafted stories and side quests.

“Black Sands is more than just comic-book heroics and wild conspiracy theories – it aims to convey a deeper understanding of real-world ancient history and cultural diversity as well,” Godoy writes. Within the game there is a dictionary with unlockable entries that show the research that went into each character and historical event and locations alongside the in-game backstories that were inspired by them.
