The series of work is described by his camp as a “Whimsical, macabre, exotic, colourful, social, historical, irrational and passionate, like a paintbrush dipped in the veins of Caribbean romance.” They also add that “nature plays a major role” in the artist’s intentions, and that Château found much inspiration in the surrealism of Salvador Dali and the romanticism of Eugène Delacroix.
