Checkout the new art exhibit centered on the murder of Michael Brown (the unarmed black teen killed by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson). The Gallery Guichard exhibition, featuring a life-size portrayal of Brown laying face-down on the ground, is bringing back media attention to police brutality, and – as reported by Counter Current News – is riling up the police: “Art enthusiasts in Chicago say the police have been anything but happy with the display. On message boards and social media posts circulating the debut, self-described police officers had nothing nice to say about the display.” Out of the 50 pieces by artist Ti-Rock Moore, the display also includes a plaque with the words “I can’t breathe” – the last words of Eric Garner, choked to death by New York City police officers.
