feature: nigerian metalcore band ‘one last autograph’ scream their way into peoples heads with new ep

July 14, 2016

Aside from the well known Afro-rock of 1970’s Nigeria, the music erupting out the region hasn’t fallen into the ‘eruptive’ category. So when the Nigerian pop/metalcore band ‘One Last Article’ began making itself heard, heavy metal/ rock fans began to get excited again. Their latest EP ‘Sickle Cell Anemia’- though much different than the sounds of the 70’s- transcends the basic metal aesthetic; combining their Afro-culture with the traditional themes of the genre, the outcome is an all-out explosive, passion-filled experience. ‘One Last Autograph’ is not only engaging audiences, but also setting a tone for the music of the country. Nigeria-as of now- may not be known for their metal bands, but the louder this band sings, the closer we’ll listen to what’s coming next. Check them out below.
