feature: rio de janerio-based photographers mariana bernardes and alessandra lima collaborate for diy-chic editorial

March 11, 2016

Check out “Futura”—an editorial collaboration between Rio de Janeiro writer/photographer Mariana Bernardes, photographer Alessandra Lima, and local thirft shop Brechó Pelay. “The concept is a visual representation on how we assume the future will be like when we, as a humanity, worn out all of our natural resources. A time when technology comes to replace nature. At Futura we won’t have beaches, instead we’ll have these giant tanning chambers, like the one we chose to portrait, as a substitute,” Bernardes tells AFROPUNK.
