Saul Williams’ team announced on his social media pages that he “has been cast as lead in the upcoming Broadway production Holler If Ya Hear Me, a musical inspired by the life and lyrics of Tupac Shakur”. A Playbill article posted on his website states: “Award-winning slam poet, actor, singer and musician Saul Williams, Christopher Jackson, Saycon Sengbloh, Ben Thompson, Tony nominee John Earl Jelks, Joshua Boone, Dyllon Burnside and Tony winner Tonya Pinkins will star in Holler If Ya Hear Me, the new Broadway musical inspired by the lyrics of Tupac Shakur, producers announced April 7.
Written by Todd Kreidler and directed by Kenny Leon, Holler If Ya Hear Me will begin performances May 29 towards a June 19 opening at Broadway’s Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway at 47th Street).”
