February 17, 2016

My Black make people
.. Uncomfortable..
Makes them picket
And petition
Online and in ballot booth
Hidden by screen
Names
Calling names,
All bloody murder
And trigger finger
My Black make people scared.

Well Boo! Boo,
My Black ain’t goin nowhere
Will not bow my head
Nor dull my shine
My Black be a bold Black
A free Black
A I refuse to take anymore Black
My Black ‘will no longer
Remain silent
While this nation kills’
And incarcerates
Our people, Black.
My Black is Black. Black. Blackitty, Black. Black. Black!, Black.
My Black self loves Black.
It be be proud
And Loud
And unapologetic.
My Black is
A “we gone be alright” Black
Can you hear me
Can you feel me
Our Black is in formation
And we have come
To slay.
