Check out these images from the second issue of ‘The Pack‘, ‘Brothers Out Of Bond’. ‘The Pack’ is a new graphic novel series, created by artist Paul Louise-Julie, that follows a motley crew of Egyptians and Nubian Werewolves as they travel through a fantasy version of Ancient Africa. Louise-Julie (who spent five years researching pre-colonial Ancient Civilizations for the project) created the series due to the lack of diversity in the graphic novel industry: “I felt that the Black Diaspora in general was burdened in trying to assimilate our subcultures into mainstream western culture. And even though we’ve contributed in amazing ways, we will always be an afterthought in this society”. Explore below.
