Did you hear about singer Frank Ocean's online post in which he reveals that he once fell in love with a male friend? "4 summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19 years old. He was too. WE spent that summer, and the summer after, together. Everyday almost. And on the days we were together, time would glide. Most of the day I’d see him, and his smile. I’d hear his conversation and his silence until it was time to sleep. Sleep I would often share with him. By the time I realized I was in love, it was malignant. It was hopeless. There was no escaping, no negotiatin with the feeling. No choice. It was my first love, it changed my life. Back then, my mind would wander to the women I had been with, the ones I cared for and thought I was in love with. I reminisced about the sentimental songs I enjoyed when I was a teenager. The ones I played when I experienced a girlfriend for the first time. I realized they were written in a language I did not yet speak."
Odd Future crew-mate Tyler, The Creator headed to Twitter with his comments: "Fucking Finally Sus Boy @frank_ocean Hahahaha, You Still Aint Got No Bitches Hahaha My Nigga Dawg" and "My Big Brother Finally Fucking Did That. Proud Of That Nigga Cause I Know That Shit Is Difficult Or Whatever. Anyway. Im A Toilet."
Yeah, about time! :) Anyhoo, what are your thoughts about Black male artists coming out? - Lou C-D

Comment by Victoria Antoine on July 14, 2012 at 6:24pm I don't give a fuck if hes gay or bi. I have his lastest mixtape. He makes good music! Keeping making music that all that matter.
Comment by Compound Egret on July 8, 2012 at 11:08pm You win a beige cardigan if you wondered if FO was related to Billy Ocean like I did. Beyond that, I'm sure FO's declaration is comforting to young people who are going through t for being gay. What about the fact that he's not a good singer?
Comment by HeartOfAMetalhead on July 7, 2012 at 9:25pm I respect him so much! Already did but he's gained much more. Kudos Frank, you opened the doors for so many kids to be inspired to be themselves
Comment by Lars Maximus))) on July 5, 2012 at 4:06am Wow. Kewl. Im not a teenager or sheltered or stuck in a small town and thus that's as far as I need to think about it. His life goes on and so does everyone else. No agenda involved. Get as much happiness and progress done as you can in 65 years, its not as long as it feels right now, trust.
Comment by PolarVibez on July 4, 2012 at 10:00pm I got nothing but respect for his frankness (pun not intended) in admiting something he could've easily kept to himself. So many of these artist are still in the closet and afraid to come out because they think their careers will be affected. I admire Frank's integrity. He's a smart dude and a good songwriter. His real fans, gay and straight will continue to rock with him.
Comment by Milo Mojo on July 4, 2012 at 1:44pm I am so happy that people feel strong enough to make a stand. There is no need to hide and the more people who have the heart to come out, the more being gay becomes an non-issue.
Respect.
