April 20, 2012

This just in! Filmmakers, check this out: “In an effort to recognize a new generation of African American filmmakers, Heineken, in partnership with Tribeca Film Institute and the Tribeca All Access program, will launch the Heineken Affinity Award during this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. Heineken aims to empower African American filmmakers to be creative and open-minded in exploring ideas and creating a narrative that shares their unique experiences, stories and visions. This platform will celebrate top emerging African American filmmakers by building awareness and creating dialogue about their work. Through industry nominations and online voting from the general public, one filmmaker, 21 and over, will be honored with a $20,000 cash award as well as year round project support and professional development from the Tribeca Film Institute.”
Stay tuned, Heineken will officially announce this and more info to the press and public soon.
