I started writing down a list of daily achievements in a journal. There are multiple sources for the idea that all talked about something similar in different contexts. I'm reading a book called
Market Wizards right now and several of the people featured mentioned keeping a trading journal, as did Stan Weinstein in
his book. I also remember Zig Ziglar talking about a list of accomplishments in one of his recordings, but more than anything it was a friend of mine urging me to encourage myself the way I have encouraged others. I don't know about everyone else, but I can always remember the things that could have gone better, what I should have done at this or that juncture in life, etc. etc. I often take stuff that I do right for granted because it's not perfect. It's pretty hard to build on negative reinforcement.
I know many people that use the internet are perfect and completely self actualized, but If you are trying to improve your life, try this out. If you are trying to accomplish something, try this out. If you feel like no one is supporting you, try this out.
Good luck.
