lost in the trap media captures #blackgirlmagic in photo series inspired by afropunk & the future of blackness

October 12, 2016

AFROPUNK has become a source of inspiration and motivation for Black creatives to express themselves freely and fully. Lost In the Trap Media is a collective of brilliant young creatives hoping to envision the future of the African and African American communities through photography. The creative director said this to describe his mindset for the project and for the future: “The next generation of our people will be the greatest ever produced because we will not be held back by fear only pushed forward by love.” In this photo series, they use AFROPUNK as the catalyst and theme, and capture some Black girl magic. Check out the portraits below!
