mediocre, dangerous leader tries to appease congress with lies & shenanigans

March 1, 2017

You might not have heard, but the 45th president of the United States is a yuge liar. It’s compulsive, without any thought, rhyme or reason, and the wildest thing about it, is that it’s almost as if he believes what he’s saying as truth. In his first address to Congress, he spewed the venomous fluff, alternative facts, empty promises and a healthy dose of contradictions. Beginning with a condemnation of the anti-Semitic and racist attacks of the week, even though earlier this week, he suggested that they were fake news. In his address to Congress, Trump actually said: “A new national pride is sweeping across our nation” and “a new surge of optimism is placing impossible dreams firmly within our grasp.” And while this is true for the 19% of the country that actually voted for him, the overwhelming majority of folks in our country are reeling from his policy goals and supporting cast of bigots. With all this talk of “draining the swamp,” it seems that Trump actually wants to hold the swamp close and let it fester, while the rest of us drown in the stench. And these lies stink.
