‘melanin in the city’ photo series celebrates black sisterhood and collaboration

May 15, 2017

‘Melanin In The City’ is black women-driven photo series by creative director and hair stylist Sabine Bernard. Actress Jade Eshete and model Seven Svatomir are featured in the series, accessorizing killer confidence with thrifted looks curated by thrift store owner Coleen Wadley, of the Bed-stuy pop-up shop. “This photo series was created to exhibit black girl magic and sisterhood in its glory,” says Bernard. “All women involved in this project were black womenpreneurs who shared the similar ideas of creating art to celebrate black women and sisterhood.”
