Memories are Forgotten Too

what are we lookin' for?

why is happiness complex?

bewildered and blind within' this maze

soulmates struggle to connect

lovers lost inside a haze

pining for our wasted days

seeking refuge in the past

can't look the present in it's face

so much fear amidst our years

you would think it would subside

but with each successive breath

it get's harder to survive

harder to keep our dreams alive

while seeking solace in our pain

why is suffering so accepted

as a normal human trait?

these rules are screwed

but nonetheless

we are doomed to abide

we scream our way into the light

life's a flash and then you die

where'd it go?

what'd you do?

do you even remember you?

matter merges into ether

memories are for gotten too
