‘negritude piauiense’ editorial series celebrates diverse beauty and sisterhood in brazil

Shot in the beautiful, sunny city of Teresina, Brazil by photographer Ronald Moura, this uplifting editorial, ‘Negritude Piauiense’, shows off the beautiful local landscape of the area and the gorgeous diversity of the multi-cultural black women who inhabit it. “The purpose of ‘Negritude Piauiense’ is to inspire black girls and women of our locality. We want them to see the variety of our hair, our bodies, our styles and feel that they can be beautiful any way they want. We want to show that we are facing all the hate, loving each other!” says the creative director, Camila Hilário.
