new music: afropunk london performer and electro-rapper cakes da killa drops visual for razor-sharp new single ‘talkin greezy’

September 6, 2016

Stop what you’re doing and check out New Jersey rapper Cakes Da Killa’s baby oil-slathered visual, ‘Talkin Greezy’. A slick, bass-driven, all around insane track that lodges itself into your brain long before it’s even ended. “A lot of people have slept on me, wrote me off, and put me in a box, and I’m here to break out,” Cakes told The FADER. 2 parts razor-sharp bars, 1 part afro-beat inspired dance melody, ‘Talkin Greezy’ is the first of many wake-up calls to come.

’Talkin Greezy’ is the first single from Cakes’ debut album, ‘Hedonism’, out October 21st. See Cakes Da Killa live at AFROPUNK London Saturday, September 24th.
