new music: canadian rocker sate releases new single ‘warrior’

April 17, 2015

Check out ‘Warrior’, the new single from AFROPUNK member SATE. The Canadian rocker says, “This song is so important to me because of the fire and the intention and the words. “Warrior” is an anthem of sorts. A call to action. A reminder that “we all have 15 minutes to do this shit.” We’ve each got our moments to shine and we have to seize it whenever we can. It’s a reminder that we all have a fire burning deep inside of us, and sometimes we can allow other things, people and fears to dampen that fire, but imagine if we “take that fire we got deep inside and burn this house to the ground?” Meaning, what if we really let our inner fire blaze and burn so brightly, there would be no obstacle in the way. “Warrior” is for the dreamers, the doers, the procrastinators, the thinkers, the wishers. They possess love and desire to do and be better and wilder. They fall, but they keep getting up, no matter how hard. That’s what we do.” Sate asks: “I’ve admired Betty Davis and my mother who I consider to be strong bad ass Warriors! Who are some of your Warriors?” Listen to ‘Warrior’ below.
