new music: ghost hours’ “for you” is a perfect bleary-eyed summer jam #soundcheck

June 16, 2016

The synths skitter and scatter while a minimal guitar line fades in and out of view. The drums cut through, keeping a pulse; a rock skipping on the water. Ghost Hours has created the exact sound of bleary-eyed waking up in the morning and trying to get your head together in “For You.” It’s a little out of focus in all the right ways like an old sun-stained polaroid. For an artist who claims to have only been at this for a year, the level of emotional depth and thought is astounding. Ghost Hours’ debut EP is due out in the near future, but in the meantime, keep “For You” on repeat.
