new music: latasha alcindor aka l.a. says “thanks but no thanks” to nay-sayers on “thank you”

March 25, 2016

Listen to Latasha Alcindor aka L.A.’s newest release “Thank You”. The Kaui-produced track is a defiant black girl anthem about being told “no” or “you can’t” before you’ve even started and that who you were born as predisposes you to failure. It’s a “thank you, but no thank you” before going out and chasing exactly what you want. “Somebody told me I’m the bottom of the barrel. Black and female so of course they won’t hear you.
