news: meshell ndegeocello announces release date & tour for new album ‘comet, come to me’!

You’ve been waiting for it, Meshell Ndegeocello announced the release date for her new album Comet, Come to Me: it will be released on June 3rd on Naïve. You can pre-order now on her website to get an instant download of a track called ‘Conviction’. Orders placed on her website will also include 3 exclusive bonus tracks.
About her her cover of Whodini’s 1984 hip-hop ‘Friends’, Meshell states: “I play with a lot of people who play improvisational music and jazz, and I thought it would be fun to take something that they might think of as easy or straight-forward, and do something different with it. And I like how language is morphing, and ‘friends’ is such a malleable word, I don’t even know what it means anymore.”
She has also announced tour dates (see below).
