Chicago’s west side, Union Park, was once again home to Pitchfork Music Festival known for its mix of musical acts ranging from indie rock to New York rap. The weekend started off with a set by Kendrick Lamar’s only female Top Dawg Entertainment Crew member, Sza. The line up scheduled for Saturday did not fall short with acts including

British singer and dancer FKA Twigs, Fade to Mind label sta, Kelela, and Brooklyn based rapper, Ka who put on for his biggest audience yet. Sunday’s was the day for hip hop and rap. The day’s lineup included Isaiah Rashad, Earl Sweatshirt, and Schoolboy Q. The summer weekend came to a close with with a hardcore mob dance act at the Blue Stage performed by DJ Spinn. But the true cherry on top to this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival was Kendrick Lamar’s heartfelt performance.
