photo essay: the black witch chronicles group
Check out this striking photo essay from photographer Fabiola Jean-Louis (responsible for the featured costume design and construction). The essay features the Black Witch Chronicles group, hosts of the eponymous web series. Made up of Zoe Flowers, Lakeesha Harris, and Geryll “Dr. G. Love” Robinson, the group (and their series) focus on the “growth and well-being of the global movement of healers, artists, changemakers, and visionaries who resonate with their mission and vision”. The group state, “In a society where the images and voices of Black womyn over the age of 40 are rarely seen or heard, we are here to reflect the wisdom, joy, and vision that our community embodies. We communicate from our collective wisdom as mothers, healers, artists, visionaries, and change makers connected to the ongoing story that sings to us from our ancestral roots.” Explore the images below.
