A lot of folks are feeling dejected with the thought of the new president-elect’s rise to the highest office in the land. But few have been able to fully embody the mind-numbing feeling that this knowledge brings quite like alt-rap duo Neza Alexander. The twosome consists of Rwandan born, Indiana raised rapper Neza and Philly native Alexander on the beats. Neza laments Trump’s election with dry humor and heavy lyricism over Alexander’s lurching, electronic soundscape. Neza says, “This song was birthed on the reality of seeing people not understand the plight of the oppressed, and thus coming up with their own conclusions.” It’s pretty much a perfect representation of the sentiment shared by a vast majority of millennials (those who didn’t vote for Trump), that this is gonna be a long four years.
