shameik moore of ‘the get down’ cast as miles morales in spider-man animated film

The Get Down’s Shameik Moore was just cast as the voice of Miles Morales in a new Spider-man animated film, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The untitled Sony project follows Morales, the afro-latinx incarnation of Spidey, who was introduced back in 2011 as a character in the Ultimate Marvel alternative universe. Not much is known about the plot at this point, but Liev Schreiber is slated to voice the film’s villain, which is being written and produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Watch this space.
