So what's been up with me? (Like ya give a fuck)

I know, I know. It's been a minute since I've actually took the time from playing the bass, the pen and pad and my genitals to write a blog. Shit's been real hectic around these Chicago streets, son! But I'll start off with the recent shit then go on from there.

Got into a car accident. I'm fine, thank you for asking. The car is totaled but my brother is gonna sell me his old beater. I'm on the fence about this (looooong fucking story as to why I would be). The accident got me limping around for a couple of weeks, not to mention that my left wrist is sore and I can't do push-ups without it hurting like a summbitch. But, yeah, other than that shit's been sweet.

I'm reading up on some Vodou (or Voodoo or Voodou or however you spell it). Pretty interesting stuff to say the least. It just goes to show the resilience of black people. When our ancestors were brought to the Caribbean, they were able to combine the beliefs of several African religion into one. And it was this religion that gave them the courage to free themselves from the bondage of slavery in Haiti. Really inspiring stuff right there.
