Every year during the Afro-punk summer festival, loads of really hot looking people dressed in enough body ink to fill Obama's calendar come through to enjoy our festivities. And we've seen it all, really, from the full sleeves of fuzzy art that turn out to be master pieces up close, to the random butt cheek tattoos that make cameos on drunken summer nights (yes, we've seen those, too).
Calling all body art: Show us your tattoos

So, we get it. Our readers dig tattoos. Ironically enough, we do, too.
That's why we're introducing tattoo of the week, where we are calling on you to submit us a pic of your tattoo and tell us what it means to you. Each week we will feature a dope submission and showcase it to the rest of the AP community. And please, don't send us any crap... because we will all get a good laugh and suggest you immediately get new friends and slap the ones you currently have. On second thought, please send us your crappy tattoo pictures as well.
But here are the ground rules guys and gals, and we know....punks don't like rules and most of you will say, screw your request, Afro-punk, I'm going to send in whatever the hell I want, however...at the risk of pretending to care, at least take a look:
1) Puh-leez send us at least ONE profile style picture. We would like to see your face (a head shot) with your submission. None of that blurry landscape crap taken on your cell phone camera, no matter how sexy that picture makes your forehead look. High resolution, if you can. (I know, look at us trying to get fancy, ya, ya, whatevs).
Example:
If you send us a picture of your chest, please include a face shot to complement it.
(ok, ok, so we could have picked someone else, however, for the sake of our example: please don't send us an image of just your chest and nipples. please include a face pic of yourself as well.)
2) Answer these mind bending questions:
-Name
-Age
-City
-Occupation
-How many tattoos do you have?
-Which one is your favorite?
-When and where did you get it?
-What does it mean to you?
-How old were you when you got your first tattoo?
-Why should we feature your tattoo?
-Do you have a particular tattoo artist you go to? If yes, where is he/she located? Website?
-Have you ever received a tattoo under the influence of drugs or alcohol?
-Do you regret any tattoos you have?
-Are you a tattoo addict?
3) E-mail us your submission at afropunkcommunity@gmail.com. And like we said before, no camera phone pictures. If you don't have a camera, pull a photo of yourself off of facebook-- someone must have tagged that ass already.
