Alright kiddos, Nona Hendryx released a full-length album, 'Mutatis Mutandis', the first in a long time (was the last one really in 1992?). Ms. Hendryx is getting real political on this one with tracks such as 'The Tea Party', 'The Ballad Of Rush Limbaugh', 'Oil On The Water', you get the picture... The vocals are raw and soulful as ever, the music is a funky blend of rock and blues, and the lyrics tackle social issues, love and politics. Even the artwork features an image by Chinese dissident Ai Weiwei. So exciting to see her rocking and kicking ass. Now if someone could tell Nona and her team to step up the promo please. Fix that website, create a proper Band page on social networks, hell, create a profile on afropunk.com! :-P Big up Ms. Hendryx!
