I can’t narrow it down to just one, but I’d have to say the artwork on my hands and wrists. The wrists spell “Free Soul,” the Om symbol is on my left hand, the freehand Peacock Feather is a work in progress.
When and where did you get it?
I got them over the last few months at RawInk Tattoos in Detroit, MI. My artist, Courtney, is also one of my best guitar students!
What does it mean to you?
I got the Tibetan characters for the words “Freedom” & “Soul” on my outer wrists as a reminder that no dogma can replace true spirituality. Their location of the wrists are in place of the shackles that oppressed people everywhere have donned in some form or another.
How old were you when you got your first tattoo?
20 or 21
Why should we feature your tattoo?
Because it’s not about the size of the piece, its about what it means to the owner.
