Name? Milly DuBouchet
-Age? 27 years young
-City? New York City
-Occupation? Lesbian Dating Coach Extraordinaire
-How many tattoos do you have? Just 1
-Which one is your favorite? This one! lol
-When and where did you get it? I got it a year ago in Miami. It’s a UV tat on the center of my chest.
-What does it mean to you? I got a tribal heart with the image of 2 women kissing in the center. To me, it simply symbolizes love. I’m with the woman of my dreams, and it’s my way of capturing what we have in a creatively permanent way! Since it’s a UV tat, you can barely see it under the naked eye, which makes it even more special to me. It’s like my little secret.
-How old were you when you got your first tattoo? really? I was 26. Late bloomer, I know!
-Why should we feature your tattoo? Because it’s not the typical, run-of-the-mill tat. It’s unique and feature-worthy.
-Do you have a particular tattoo artist you go to? If yes, where is he/she located? Website? Not yet, but plan to establish my go-to artist soon.
-Have you ever received a tattoo under the influence of drugs or alcohol? Don’t drink or smoke. Crazy, I know. I still know how to party though. Promise.
-Do you regret any tattoos you have? Absolutely not.
-Are you a tattoo addict? I think I may be and I’m somewhat afraid of where I’ll take this!

Comment by Patrick Thunderbreath Chappelle on September 1, 2012 at 12:37pm While her hear was certainly in the right place, I have to agree with James here. I don't have any tats, nor am I a tat artist, but I've been hearing the same thing about these kinds of tats from reputable tattoo artists. I hope there is a way to undo it, and that Milly will not suffer for it.
Only problem is that UV ink contains carcinogenic phosphorus which is why you cant find a reputable tattooer who will use the stuff or a reputable distributor who sell it. It's really only available in hood shop, tourist traps and places where uneducated "artists" work.
As a tattooer I would advise eveyone to A) not get a UV/black light tattoo and B) run from any artist who even owns a bottle of this kind of ink. Any reputable tattooer would agree.
Why should we feature your tattoo? Because it’s not the typical, run-of-the-mill tat. It’s unique and feature-worthy.
Agree 100%!
