tattoo of the week: taking ink to the schools

When Stevey aka Blackboitatted e-mailed us images of his tattoos to be featured on Afropunk.com, we were floored by the detailing in his ink work and knew that this guy was serious about his body work.  We later discovered that he has started his own company in Boston called Addicted 2 Ink, where he plans to expand the tattoo life style to different sectors such as after school programs and kid’s events.  His brand is already located in Virginia, NYC, ATL, Chicago, Michigan, and LA.  Stevey got his first tattoo of a basketball when he was 15-years-old and says he’s been addicted to the rebellious tattoo lifestyle ever since.  Check out his video where he talks about some of his favorite tattoos and why he loves ink as much as we do. It means the world they don’t live with me but that’s my way of seeing them every morning when I get up and look in the mirror

Because I’m a walking piece of art and to let people know you don’t have to be a thug or come from jail to have tattoos normal people have them to….

Have you ever received a tattoo under the influence of drugs or alcohol?

Yea I have I drink when I get a tattoo it relaxes me and I don’t bleed at all…

Do you regret any tattoos you have?

I don’t regret any of my tattoos they all have a meaning behind them and I never regret anything I’ve done in life
