TATTOO OF THE WEEK: THE BEAUTY OF A TOMBOY

Our tattoo of the week section has taken some twist and turns over the last several weeks. When we originally considered doing this section, we planned to feature one person each week who submitted us the best images of their tattoos, however, we received an overwhelming response from our post last week of beautiful women with tattoos. One of the comments that we received in our inbox was that we only featured girlie girls with tattoos as if only girls with exposed boobs and uncanny flat stomachs (none of us who work for AP look quite as glamorous), however, we wanted to show off the edgier side of women with tattoos. Keep sending us your images to afropunkcommunity@gmail.com - send at least 3 pictures and explain what your tattoo(s) is (are) about, what they mean to you. Gentlemen, you are welcome to submit, too.

Do you think tattoos make women look more masculine? Can tattoos actually make women look more fem? Don't forget to e-mail us pics of your tattoos to whitney@afropunk.com. We're waiting for you.

All beautiful. The first woman looks as though she's Nefertiti. Beautiful features.

Thank you for the spell check, brother Harvey.  But I took your advice and 'checked' myself, and my opinion still stands unshaken.  Anybody, male or female, permanently endorsing a strictly corporate product that is not their own or receive any compensation from by placing their icon on their face is an, ahem, embarrassment.  To me at least.

And if you read my previous post, you'll see I am promoting non-conformity by encouraging originality & individuality, especially with body art and not mass market trendiness, consumerism and negativity.

And for the record Black, as corny and hackneyed as it has become, I'm not offended by your or anyone else's overuse net/text acronyms such as: lmao, rofl, ppl, kewl, bff, etc.  But I refuse to use them & if that makes me a Neo-Con, pass me the Black Chai at the next Tea Party rally.   I checked myself;  you be sure to check my spelling and grammar.

@Daoud. Black chill! What you want everyone to be like you? This is a forum for the nonconformist. You are only promoting a different form of conformity. A dude with LV tatted on his face doesn't embarrass me any more than you do by spelling embarrassment incorrectly. Check yo' self Black. You sound like some Neo-Con. lmao

OK, it's the same chick in the BKLYN hat and the blue plaid shirt, I see the skull tatt on her throat.  Can't help but think it lokks like she's flagging for somebody, DP's or LK's...
