... the other Black experience

The Bots Rep Afro-punk On The Vans Warped Tour : Day 11 to tha END!!

THE END was so crazy we don't know where to begin!! Well, by the end of the day on our last day in Minnesota, after our own set on Kevin Says stage, we ended up on the AP stage with STREET DOGS doing a cover of "Rise Above!" (If you don't know, Mike from Street Dogs was the original singer for Dropkick Murphys... Street Dogs are mad dogs, check 'em out!!! Plus they are still on the Warped Tour!)  We joined them the last two days in Detroit & Chicago but this last one in Minnesota pretty much felt like the stage might go over!! Those guys are awesome we really hope to link up with them again soon!! A huge thank you to Mike, Tobe, Johnny, Marcus, and Paul!

The picts above and the 3 below are from Detroit with Street Dogs... this set it almost didn't happen! We were supposed to be at sound check 10 mins before our own set on our Kevin Says stage but we jumped on on the AP stage to to this right at the last second, then jumped off and booked it to do our own set! Barely made haha but it was cool!

Here's a couple from Chicago! Mikaiah hit his head (on my head actually-Anaiah) while doing a little thing for the Truth people that were there (and we HATE cigarettes so..) and we ended up colliding and Mikaiah pretty much had a concussion! The EMT came and we thought he would might not be able to play at all that day!  So I (Ananaih) ran as fast as I could to the AP stage again cause we were supposed to join Street Dogs again, and I got there without 1 second to spare, it was insane. I jumped on and did "Rise Against!" yea haters! haha jk, it was great! but as soon as it was over I had to run again and quick change in the kitchen area (gotta suit up!) and make it to The Bots set! I was so happy to get there and see Mikaiah! He said he was feeling better, but I think he still was hurting but would not have missed the set for the world. He did it! I was really proud of him. -Anaiah

From my set with Street Dogs (Anaiah):

And our last day on stage with Street Dogs as we said was AWESOME. This was in Minnesota and I can't tell you what it felt like to connect with these dudes, they are such cool people. Ahhh such a great time!!!

We wish you ALL could have been there! Our own set which we will tell you about next time, felt just as epic with a bunch of our favorite bands joining us to do Bad Brains "Attitude"!! It was the best end to the best tour ever. We will post pictures of that, and tell you about our RV breakdown too! Which was pretty much meant to be, we will fill you in on that!

Someone tell these 2 kids to sit down! ahaha

Ok talk to you soon but In the meantime, check out BAD RABBITS too if you wanna see some great performers and hear some funky music!! We'll keep hitting you with great band links from the tour don't worry! Of course we will we love you! Don't worry we thanked ALL OF YOU too, all our friends and family are you joking?!! We will never stop loving you!! We also want to thank every single band on the tour and wish you a safe journey! It was so amazing spending the last few weeks with you! And to all the people who held it down for us at home, thank you! Especially the peeps at SOUNDBITE STUDIOS !! We can't wait to get back in there you don't even know!!!! Mighty Mighty Bosstones are recording there right now! See you soon for practive Luis!!!
