AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

Greetings/Blessings

Usually, I don't speak out about drama & such because really, we should all be placing our energies into positive outlets for ourselves & the betterment of our societies. This situation that I've been going through for years is just something I feel like I need to TRY and put to rest right now so that I can continue to move onward & upward.
Some of you have asked "Are there two diff people that called themselves "The Original Gata"? The answer is YES. Its a long drawn out explanation that doesn't need to be touched upon, but basically I'm one of them. We used to be friends, things happen in life & now we aren't. There's no love lost on my end and I wish everyone well. But that's just ME. I have 8 children, an acting career/music career/modeling career..so I really don't have the time or want to get into any type of drama. I really even hate using "the original" because everything thats being done HAS been done before whether you like it or not. Its one of the reasons why I cringe when people say to me "Lady Gaga is the first of her kind!" WHAT?? What about Grace Jones?? but I digress. If black people spent more time supporting each other instead of trying to tear one another down, we as a community would be in a MUCH better place. I've been guilty of behaving that way in the past, BUT I've learned from it to become a better person in the present and for the future. I don't have time to hold grudges or cast blame or point fingers..I'm starting from this point forward. Holding grudges is equivalent to cancer as it spreads through your body and consumes you..it turns you ugly and evil and everything you touch turns to shit. I NEVER want that to be me. There's room for two of us in this industry & there's no reason for anyone to be caddy, mean, nasty to one another. I'm always trying to help and if that person were to come to me tomorrow for help I'd STILL be there, call me naive, but thats just who I am.
Its cool..I'm cool..lets just get past the drama and be there for one another..I'm there for you guys..ALL of you. Spread the love..not the hate..
And Gata is out....
oh, BTW...I hit my weight loss goal guys!!!! After 8 children I am wearing a size 5!!!! yay!
