The Painted Hides of Punk: Dope Leather Jackets!

"Crusty punks are, generally, irritating and useless pieces of shit. That’s not to say that we don’t have crusty friends or crusty tendencies. We do. And we like a lot of crusty music. But those are the exceptions. Most people of the crusty persuasion are wastes of flesh.
But we sure do love what they wear!..." Check out the dope jackets below!

Funny about that comment about the music vs clothes talk.
Back in the day all I cared mostly to talk about was the music, although I loved how the crazy deconstructed make it yourself punk ripped up tripped out clothing looked, cause there was not enough clothing to notice in shops except what kids made up themselves or that one store Poseur run by that British couple, who seemed really nice.

I guess I look back and see the images of the clothing and it jumps out at me. My memories at the sounds of the music of the bands I liked back then when it was all beginning and new to me is nestled in my head. Thanks for putting that show info for Subhumans coming up in June. It'll be my first show at the Echo if I get tickets to go. I actually intended to see the Holly Golightly show (not punk something else in sound) last month or so but I missed it.

Ah the Sub Humans. Felipe you brought it back!
Crust punks.........I never even heard that term until the early 90's.
You don't have to be punk to be of the crusty variety of human being.
I just never associated automatically one with the other. I like the jacket up there with the big huge Misfits painting and I love the look of the ones that are completely covered in close set metal studs.

Oh NICE. Back in early - mid 80s I remember the best punk jacket painting I ever saw.
The guy was in front of me at Helter Skelter (a goth club) and had painted on the back that Salvador Dali floating cross and Jesus figure painted in white. And it was gooood.

I've never been able to get myself into punk fashion or at least not waring it myself, baggy pants and a hoodie please. I like seeing it though
