... the other Black experience

As an ode to my indigenous spirit I got my nose pierced six months ago. It was a plain little gold stud that was small enough to prevent any backlash from my employers but big enough to appease my own desires of being a warrior princess. Yes, I was finally as cool as those gorgeous East Indian women in the black/white portraits on my bedroom wall or Fulani girls from west Africa on my inspiration board.
